I knew John and Barbara from Ashhurst Church days. John was so kind-hearted, had a wonderful smile and sense of humour, and showed a genuine interest in people. We have one of his beautiful paintings in our kitchen.
Deepest condolences to John´s family.

John brought a ray of sunshine with him. You couldn't wish to meet a nicer person. I fondly remember his love for the verse: it is no longer I that liveth, but Christ that liveth in me. Galatians 2:20

I remember John as the most kind gentleman. He always had a nice word to share that perfectly fit the moment. He was giving and shared his wisdom and his love for God and all things heavenly especially his beloved Barbara, of whom he spoke of so often. His grit and spirit was very admiral. I will never forget him. Condolences to Joanne, family, friends and fellow workers at Brightwater.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

John was always ready to add a good Bible verse to my Chapel talks at Brightwater. So dear and precious. Iola Haarhoff
