Of Palmerston North. Died peacefully on Thursday 3rd September 2020. Aged 85. Dearly loved husband of Maureen. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Janice and Leigh Groom, Tony and Carol, Grant and Viv, Nicola and Kevin Walker. Much loved Garg / Grandad of Aimee and Andrew, Sarah and Ben, and Kaitlin; Rachael and John, Denise and Jason, Zac, and Lisa; Hayden, Blake, and Danielle. Dear Maureen, Bryan & I were saddened & shocked to read of John's passing and send our love to you all . Although we hadn't seen John in recent years we have fond memories of times spent with you both . Those annual birthday calls for the last 53 years meant so much to me - I don't recall John ever missing a year ! We were very sorry to hear of John's passing.
I have fond memories of working with John at Dalgetys and later as a broker in my own seed business.
John was a gentleman and a great mentor.
