Of Feilding, formerly of Paraparaumu. On Friday, April 1 2016, peacefully at Arohanui Hospice. Dearly loved husband and friend of Phyllis. Loved father and father-in-law of Michael and Susan, Sarah and Brett, and Janet. Much loved Grandad of Daniel, Nicole, Samantha, Padraig, Ciara and Mirryn. Special buddy of Mac. In lieu of flowers donations to Arohanui Hospice, P.O. Box 5349, Palmerston North would be appreciated or may be left in the Chapel foyer. Friends are invited to attend a service for John at the Feilding Funeral Chapel, 282 Kimbolton Rd, Feilding, on Friday, April 8 2016, at 2pm. Cremation to be private.

Hi Sarah, Brett and family. So sorry to hear of the passing of your dad/granddad. He was a lovely man. I remember him commenting on a rosebush years ago that it was a "bonny rose". I still have the twin to that bush and continue to hear the echo of "a bonny rose" each time it flowers. May you be comforted by many loving echoes and memories. Love Kathryn, Grant and family
