Solicitor/ Consultant Extrodanaire. Mr Macfarlane was my mentor, advisor, work colleague and full of fun with his knowledge of poetry.( I will always call him "Mr" ). His amazing sense of humour in changing ye olde verses into a relevant piece of legalise that we might be working on at the time. He taught me so much about all aspects of the law and especially when dealing with Estate Administration. His love of nature, flora and fauna and the world we live in was his passion. Your wordly deeds are done good man, now RIP with your beloved Pat.

Sad to hear of Johns passing. We served together on the Centrepoint board for many years. I have some very nice memories of him.

What to say, I am in shock. Mr Mac, I will miss you and our phone calls. I truly enjoyed working for you in my early years at Innes Dean. I am grateful for your visit to me in the maternity ward when my daughter was born. I will treasure the poem you wrote me when I got engaged and I am sure other staff that you wrote poems for will also treasure your words. Now you can rest with beloved Pat. My sincere condolences to all the Macfarlane family, the biggest hug is sent to wrap around you all.
