John LOVEJOY Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of John on 28 August 2025, aged 65. Loved son of Tom and Pauline (dec). Caring brother and brother-in-law to Alison, Suzanne and Phil, Christopher and Nadine. Uncle to Brittany and Thomas. John was a strong, kind, intelligent man with a wicked sense of humour. He loved a good book, watching the gee gees and could complete a crossword or jigsaw with the best of them. John will be deeply missed by his friends and family. To honour John's wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to celebrate his memory in your own way.

Yesterday

Family of John. Have known John from a young school boy when he called into to see his mum at the TAB where I was working with his mum. A very polite young boy and in the latter year he was so nicely bringing in his dad to Fitz TAB and both spending their afternoons. Deeply saddened to read of his passing .Condolences to the Lovejoy family. R.I.P John..

I am so saddened to hear of Johns sudden passing. He was one of the "old" badminton crew and many of us, going back decades, have shared fun and happy times with John - baddo functions, trips away, boxing day races, card nights. I recall them so well, with John being an integral part of our group. My condolences to his family on their loss of John, a person I remember with much fondness.

The passing of my cousin John is very sad he was to young.
When i was about 13 john took me to work with him for the day at a company called Galaxo. I packed boxes with him i think it may have been slave labour but i did go home with mountains of orange vitamin c lollies. I can still remember John buried in a book at the kitchen table. Our thoughts are with all the family

My heart hurts knowing you are no longer here. You were one of the most loving and caring guys I know and you were always checking up on me making sure i was ok. I will miss our catch ups and the phone calls. You are like the grandfather I never had and in my heart you are.

Love always
