Such a warm lady. After 52 years way from Whanganui I returned in November 2016 with family from the UK. Shortly thereafter there was an article in the River City Press on my return. A day or two later I received a phone call with the caller´s first words being `You won´t remember me, but I taught you when you were 7 years old´. My immediate re-action was that `you must be in your mid-nineties at least´ as I was then 71.
We chatted, we met and got on like a house on fire. And it turns out that JB did indeed teach me, but that far from being in her mid 20s or early 30s, as I´d imagined, she was at the time just 17 years old and a postulant (ie nun in training) with the Sisters of St Joseph. She´d been sent down to take charge of us 7 year olds when our regular teacher was ill.
I always enjoyed meeting up with J.B. two or three times a year and she was a real inspiration to me in my spiritual journey. RIP, J.B., you will be sorely missed.

As part of the Exploring Faith group I will always hold dear your ability to challenge us to think more deeply and gain a greater understanding of our faith. 'Fullness of Life for the Earth and it's Peoples' JB as you continue on with your journey. Thoughts are with the Sisters. RIP

Always remembered as a great teacher at St Josephs Feilding plus your
beautiful singing voice, when you joined Mike Horgan to sing "How Great Thou Art" at mums funeral. After 40 years People still talk about it.
Rest in Peace.

Saddened to read of Sister John Bosco passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I owe my strong faith to Sister from when she was at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish Waiwhetu Lower Hutt. Always had a strong faith but Sister made me think about what I believed and understand what I believed for this I will be eternally grateful. We had many a good laugh as she tried to convert my (late) husband never happened but they remained friends. God Bless you Sister and may you now reap the reward of eternal life . With very fond memories. Bev Burns
