McNaghten:
(RAF RNZAF rtd) Peacefully on Monday, 24 July 2017, aged 83. Beloved husband of Ruth, precious father of Deborah, Simon and Fiona Jay. Loved grandad of Jordan, Marcus and Laurent Dunningham, great-grandad of Cahyo and Gili Dunningham. Much loved brother of Anne, James, Barbara, Alice, & families. Brother-in-law of Pam & Roy, (U.K.).

A celebration of John's life will be held at St John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Camden Street, Feilding on Friday, July 28 2017, at 1.30pm. Grateful thanks and love to so many friends and neighbours. Special thanks to Ven. Wendy Scott, District Nurses, and especially staff at Arohanui Hospice. In lieu of flowers/donations to Arohanui Hospice, PO Box 5349, Palmerston North 4441, would be appreciated and may be left at the church.

My condolences to John's family - I have only just heard of his death. We carpooled to and from Massey for some years when I lived in Feilding and I greatly enjoyed his gentle humour - Johnwas a real gentleman in all senses of the word.

My love to Ruth Debbie,Simon and Fiona.
My big brother,John....I will miss your lovely emails...and cards. We in UK watched the funeral and felt closer to our family in New Zealand. My childhood memories of John and also his marriage to Ruthie ..his trips back to UK with Ruth and Debbie and Fiona. All the fun and laughter.

John will leave a big space in all your lives and the lives of many others. His legacy will live on through his loving family, in your hearts & precious memories.John was a very special friend to me and also my family.
