John GREENLEES Obituary

12 May 1950 – 5 February 2024

Sadly passed away suddenly on Monday aged 73. Dearly loved husband and best mate of Raewyn. Much loved and respected Dad and father-in-law of Sian and Mike, Richard and Ange, and Gareth (Rat) and Sarah. Very proud Grandad/Poppa of Jack, Ben, Oliver, Scott, Cooper and Hope who was dearly loved by them all.
A unique man with the ability to make people laugh and touched many lives.
As per John's instructions, and for one last time we listened to him, a private family farewell has been held.

So missed seeing you at the weekend John. Was so expecting to see the garage door open, car in the driveway with you half naked washing your cars. Then we would share some banter. Solve the world´s problems - of course with some colourful language to make your point! We miss you dearly John - as do Marley and Dipper - they only get fed once per day by Raewyn now... You were one hell of an awesome neighbor, I would say Rest in Peace, but I know you will be giving someone hell!! Love Mark, Jen, Abby & GG

So - the Gang of Six is now the Gang of Five. However it will always be the "Six" as your presence will be felt. We will continue to form mad political parties, and solve, crime, poverty and inequality. Just not with so many swear words. Ride well John.

We were really sad to read the news of John´s passing. We have the best memories of John and Raewyn living in Royal Oak Drive for many years with them, along with building homes for us and other family members. We remember a time visiting John in hospital after suffering an earlier heart issue and he told us `he came back because there were no decent bars!´ Well, this time John, it seems they´ve improved! John sure was one in a million and his wicked sense of humour and fun will be missed. Hold those memories and the good times close, lots of love to Raewyn and the family, Suzette & Peter
