I feel incredibly grateful and privileged to have known John. He was one of the most appreciative people I´ve ever met-always thankful, always kind, and always finding the good in everything around him.
To the family, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Please know that John made a lasting impact on me. I loved listening to his knowledge on Taranaki history (especially the dairy factories) and we were always ensured laughter was part of our conversation over a donut or two. I also feel so privileged to have heard John talk so fondly of how proud and appreciative he was of his dear Isabel, his children, their partners and grandchildren. He will be truly missed.
