John BRUCE Obituary

BRUCE, John Nigel (ex RNZAF). - Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, August 19, 2013, aged 83 years. Dearly beloved husband and best friend of Carole, father to Shaughan and Leeanne, Tracy and Marco, and Andrea. Grandfather to Alex, Matt, Regan, Briar, John, Daniel, Hannah, David, Ben and Grace, and great-grandfather to Jaira. A celebration of John's life will be held in the Main Chapel of the Morrison Funeral Home, 220 Universal Drive, Henderson on Friday, August 23, at 10am, thereafter a private cremation. Donations to West Auckland Hospice would be appriciated and can be send to PO Box 45-181, Te Atatu, Auckland 0651. Communications to the Bruce family may be send to PO Box 83-190, Edmonton, Auckland 0652.

Dear Carole and Family,
I was shocked and saddened when I read Kay's e-mail this morning and learned of John's death. R.I.P. Whenever I had the pleasure of being in John's company, he was always very warm and welcoming---a true gentleman and a really fine man. I am so sad that you had to say goodbye to such a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. You are all in my loving thoughts and prayers.

Carole, my thoughts are with you & the family on this sad occasion. It's been a real pleasure knowing both of you through Variety. He was a true gentleman & I'll always remember him with fond memories.
