John BOS Obituary

BOS, John Jnr (Johnny):
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his flat (Washington Parade, IHC/IDEA Services Residential Home) on 19th February 2018. Aged 63. Dearly beloved son of John Snr (Jan) and Johanna and much loved brother of Marianne and Jim, Pauline and Grant, Yvonne, Valerie and John, Michael and Lisa. John was part of large extended family all of whom cherished and enjoyed all he had to offer whether as an uncle, great uncle, nephew or cousin. We were all the richer for having John in our lives. Johanna and John Snr wish to thank all the support they have had over the years to enable Johnny to be as independent as possible and a valued member of his community. The family also wish to thank the dedicated staff and flatmates at Washington Parade, as well as Arohanui Hospice staff and District nurses, which meant Johnny could spend his last days at home. Messages to the Bos family c/- PO Box 5191, Palmerston North 4441. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the IHC, PO Box 1757, Wellington 6140, www.ihc.org.nz/donate or may be left in the Chapel foyer. Relatives, friends, carers and colleagues and anyone whose life was touched by John are invited to his funeral at the Terracehaven Chapel, 697 Main Street, Palmerston North, on Friday 23rd February 2018 at 2.30pm.

To all of the Bos family, all you
Ma & Pa Bos
Mike & Lisa

Our condolences. It's nice to know Johnny is at rest and enjoying his beer, something he was known for in our Monad Street days. Johnny touched the lives of so many people. I remember one day Hiromi and I were visiting Ma & Pa Bos. Johnny didn't know I was there, but when he came round he saw my shoes outside and immediately said Wayne!! It was magic! After so long and only seeing a pair of ratty shoes, Johnny knew.

-- And we will never forget the look of Johnny's face at Mike's 21st --

Love always,
The Macpherson Clan
