It was with great sadness I learnt of Joanne's passing. Although I never met her I worked with her. I dispatched ambulances in that region around 5 years ago. Joanne and I would talk over the radio and phone and I thought she was such a wonderful person who went above and beyond caring for her patients. She would do jobs that would run on at the end of her shift always putting others first. My thoughts and prayers to her beautiful children who she would always speak about with such pride. Such a loss to everyone

My sister rang me tonight with the news and I'm for once truly speechless. I have no words to express how I'm feeling but have chosen to close my eyes to see your smiling face instead. The memories that I have of you and kev are some of the most precious and funny I have. My life would not be what it is today without these or the influence you had on it. My heart goes out to your family and loved ones. Jo you will always be in my heart and in my prayers xx

I've been thinking a lot about how many years I've known Joanne - starting back at our primary school days, through to having our children at the same time and then talking over the last few weeks. The recurring thought for me is how giving and caring Joanne was with her time to help others and her family. She wanted to make a difference with all that she did.

I can only imagine the heartbreak and disbelief her family are going through and although nothing can take this pain away, I hope you can find some comfort in how much everybody is thinking of you.

Sending you love, comfort and strength.

You are in my thoughts xxx
