So sorry to hear of Jim's passing.
Jim certainly blessed many OCFers from around NZ, particularly in the 1970's by opening his home. Wgtn OCFer's especially remember fondly, trips up to Palmy and the generous hospitality offered with cheerfulness by Jim.
Deepest sympathy to the Kan family. May God comfort and strengthen you all with His Love and Peace.

Sad to hear of Jim's passing. So many memories of time together over the years for Sunday School and Bible Class, the Manawatu Chinese Association and as a family friend. Resting peacefully with the Angels and old friends. Sincere condolences to the extended Kan family

We went to study at Massey university in 70s. We were young and not so familiar with the way of live in New Zealand. We were so fortunate to have met Jim Kan. He was humble, kind and generous to us. He opened his beautiful home and life to us and welcome us with a big smile on his face. We always look forward to the sumptuous dinners he would provide for us, including big fish, during our fellowship meetings. At a corner of his home there was always a big tub of fresh fruits from his grocery shop that we hungry students happily helped ourself to. What a blessing.

Many years have passed since we returned home. But we will never forget his kindness serving us with God´s love and in humility.

A lovely brother we will deeply miss. At the same we rejoice that he is with the Lord where there is fullness of joy and life forever.

God bless

Jim had been a Great source of Blessings for many . Especially those in the Overseas Christian Fellowship in Palmerston North and beyond. Remember he hosted a big group of OCFers from Wellington in his home in the mid 1970s. A True Christian brother. Generous, Kind . Had a Big heart . Rest in His Eternal Peace, Jim .
