Dear John, Philip, Brendon and Katrina
I am so very sad to hear that Jeanette has been so ill and passed away. I was shocked by the news when my nephew phoned to let me know.
It's many years since I saw you all in Ballance. As one goes through life with children, sport and family responsibilities, it's not easy to keep up with all one's friends. Jeanette called and saw us once or twice when we lived in Te Horo and she was in the area.
I admired Jeanette tremendously. She had an easy going, fun personality and such a kind, gentle soul. She was such a "salt of the earth" genuine person with no pretence and would do anything for anyone....part of the rural community spirit, always to be admired.
Jeanette and I trained together in Wellington as School Dental Nurses from 1968-1970. She was such a wonderful breath of fresh air. I enjoyed her company hugely and for many years kept up our friendship.
I am thinking of you all with sadness and love as you farewell a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, sister and huge contributor to her community. May you find strength in one another as you grieve and share memories of times you spent together, happy and sad, tears and laughter as you go through life with precious memories.
May God Bless you all.
Rest in Peace, dear Jeanette
