Jean was a valued and loved member of the 1997-98 group of DG's.
Her Christmas letters were full of news and how proud she was of her daughter Janet and son John and their families. She was very appreciative of what you did for her, despite your busy lives.
Our thoughts are with you all.

Jean, you were a long term friend of 37 years and with our devotion to Lions Clubs NZ and International, our friendship began because of them. Many memories come to mind and the visits made together over the years. You will be so missed - everyone loved receiving all your family updates on email and I don't think I ever asked you where 'onky' came from. Rest in peace, my friend, you deserve it. Love from Gay and all the past members of the old Bell Block Puketapu Lions Club. I am very honoured at your request.

Hi John and Janet,
I was sadden to hear of your Mums passing. I never had the pleasure of meeting your Mum when I visited NZ in 2023 but we kept in touch by email. She was very keen to find out more about Nan Thompson who originated near where my mother came from in Ballymena, NI. She sent me a lot of her family history and we were progressing in tracing down Nan's relations. There are some people here who remember her and Stan visiting Northern Ireland and I will pass on the sad news.
Wishing you both well,
Robin Kirkpatrick
