Janine MELTON Obituary
On 22nd November 2024, a kind, patient, selfless soul breathed her last breath and left this earth, aged 62. Beloved mother of Joshua and Philippa. Cherished sister, child, friend and family member. A champion to her children and everyone she crossed paths with. With her ever lasting father now, we will see you again. We invite you to join us in honoring the life of Janine Michelle Melton, on Wednesday, 27th November at 1.00pm, at William Cotton & Sons Chapel, 29 Beattie Street, Feilding. Light refreshments will be served following the service. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart Foundation.

I was shocked to see Janine's death notice. I had not long ago caught up with her after a shift at the hospital as she looked after my ailing father in the past as I had looked after hers. She always had a smile and a twinkle in her eye. A lovely gentle soul and a great nurse. Sending condolences to her family.

My love and deepest sympathy go out to Janine's family .I worked with some wonderful nurses on Wd24 Orthopaedics and Janine was one of them. A very caring, thoughtful and thorough nurse , nothing was ever a problem and she always went that extra mile. It saddens me that I missed the final farewell for such a lovely lady. Chrissy Brooks

Janine had a keen sense of fun and merriment. She had the knack of finding out what was important to others, and offering a supportive and encouraging presence, whatever the circumstance. The integrity and values that Janine held dear will live on in her greatest legacy: Joshua and Philippa. May God bless and uphold you both as you go through this sad and difficult time.

To Janine's family,
I first met Janine on the Weld Motors school bus when we were at High School (she was at QEC & I went to Freyberg).
We then both became nurses & worked at Palmerston North Hospital, our paths regularly crossed over the many years we have been there.
Janine was a kind soul, a solid patient advocate & a hard worker who genuinely cared about what she was doing. She also had a great sense of humour & a smile that lit up her whole face.
