I worked at Brightwater and knew Mia from the day she moved in until the day I left to move back home to Canada in July 2023. Right away I was taken with Mia´s sense of humour and we hit it off. We became close over the time we spent together. She was one lady I missed most when leaving New Zealand. I will always remember you Mia, your stories, your advice, your bright blue eyes and your smile! God bless you and your family.

Dear Mia, You will be forever remembered at the Friendship Centre at the City Mission as a lovely lady who was always well presented with beautiful clothes, an amazing sense of humour and an absolute champion 500 player. In recent times when you came to the entertainment with Audrey or Paulette I could see you were battling but you always recognised me and we would always have a wee chat.
We will be fondly remembered by us all
Love Judy and your card playing friends
