To Karen and family,
Jo and I are saddened by your loss. Lots of good memories of a well-liked and respected colleague with a devilish sense of humour, also of the elder Earle, Colin, in Wanganui (as it was 50 years ago). Kind wishes to you all.

Devastated to hear that Ian has passed away. So many great memories working with him on the racing pages at the Manawatu Standard during the eighties, nineties and beyond. Thoroughly enjoyed our annual get-together. A great mentor to me, a great colleague and, above all else, a great friend. Condolences to Karen and the family.
