I'm really sorry to hear about Ian's passing. It's been many a long year since I've seen any of you but it has bought back many many fond memories of camping at Totara Reserve and Sixtus Lodge which will be cherished forever.

Lots of love from Kathy, Neil, Nicola & Alisa

Jacinta,

I am just back from Ian's funeral. Among the memories from family members the story about camping and torches resonated with me. I remember Ian getting various courier deliveries to work. I noticed that quite a few were torches so I asked him once why he had yet another torch. He was very happy to explain the magnificent benefits of this particular torch. I asked more torch questions and he offered to bring in his entire collection. He did bring in his kit and I learned quite a bit about torches!

As Shane has commented Ian was very valued at work for his calm manner when solving quite difficult problems. Ian's knowledgeable and calm approach was valued by our clients also. Many of them would specifically ask for Ian when they rang for technical assistance.

I will miss conversations with Ian on family, travels
