Ian ALEXANDER Obituary

(Of Feilding) Passed away peacefully after a long illness in the presence of family, on Saturday 7th September 2024, at Julia Wallace Retirement Village (Palmerston North), aged 80 years. Dearly loved husband of Mary, and his late first wife Barbara. Much loved father of Jonathan and Colette, father-in-law to Jimmy, and grandad to Aengus, Abbey and Avena. Loved stepfather and in-law to Jane and Mark, Rose and Cameron, and Duncan and Mei. Very special Pop to Caitlin, Kade and Lachlan, and Maisie and Lucy. Beloved brother to the late Fay and brother-in-law to Paul. With sincere thanks to all those that cared for Ian at Julia Wallace Retirement Village. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Ian's life will be held at 11.00am on Tuesday 17th September 2024, at St Brigid's Catholic Church, 4 Monmouth St, Feilding. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations can be made to Arohanui Hospice, www.arohanuihospice.org.nz/helping-us/make-a-donation/ Messages to the Alexander family, c/- 29 Beattie Street, Feilding 4702.

I worked with Ian both in Nelson and Hastings for Rural Fire/Electrical.
