Joc, Darryl and Jared. Much Aroha to you and your families at this very sad time. Like other Havelock Ave old timers I too, have many memories of a very special man. He played a great game of Table Tennis way back in the 70s when we ran the club in the hall next door. Cherish all those memories.
Kia kaha.

To Jocelyn and Sonny's families: Having lived a couple of houses away from Jocelyn and Sonny when Havelock Avenue homes were first built in the mid-1970s, we became well acquainted in the subsequent years and watched their sons grow from boys into fine young men and then fatherhood. We also remember Jocelyn and Sonny's dedication to fitness as well as their genuinely modest dispositions. It came as a shock to us when Sonny first developed heart problems several years ago, necessitating an ambulance call; and more so in view of his fitness regime. Although we moved from Havelock Avenue to Queensland after Jocelyn and Sonny moved elsewhere in Palmerston North, our friendship remained strong and lasted more than 40 years.
To Jocelyn: Please accept our heartfelt condolences and may your sorrows be softened with happy memories.
