Henry MCCALLION Obituary
Died peacefully at Metlifecare Palmerston North on Thursday 21 June 2018, aged 91 years. Loving husband of the late Jean. Loved father, father-in-law and grandfather of Rosemary and Grant, Barbara and Andrew, Matthew and Charlotte, Steven, Scott, Peter and Katie. A private cremation has been held. Messages can be sent to the McCallion family, c/- PO Box 1014, Palmerston North.

Dear Rosemary I just want to share my sadness at the news I just saw of your Dad passing away in June. I knew him for 6 years first as an undergraduate then as a PhD student in the years 1960 through 1966 in Nottingham. He was my advisor and I owe him so much for inviting me to do this with him and for his guidance and support.
He introduced me to another of his PhD students Neville Rieger who helped get me my first job in the US and helped me a lot with my career and with whom I gave kept in touch and worked professionally with through the years.
I wrote to Harry in early 2013 to thank him for his great contribution to my career and he replied saying you had somehow passed on the email to him. I really enjoyed his reply and his info about Grandchildren who were studying in Nottingham and Copenhagen.
Again my deep condolences about Harrys passing and my thanks for this chance to share with you my great respect for him and to let you know how much he did for me.
