Henk was a true gentleman with a huge heart and a great love for God and his family and for all those he befriended. Always kind and cheerful - with a smile on his face - willing to share a kind sentiment or word of encouragement.
When my husband and I first settled into our new home, he offered a cutting of a fig tree from their garden as a house- warming gift. That tree is now a very bountiful, fruitful tree, which will always remind us of that special token of Henk´s kindness to us!
Over the years, whenever we saw Henk before or after a church service, we always enjoyed chatting with him, as he was so eager to share in conversation - the goodness of God in his life with us, having a beaming smile on his face and such joy in his voice!
Serious health challenges came his way several years ago with doctors giving him an "expiration date" of only weeks - or at most - months left to live. This did not deter him nor discourage him from believing that God would give him more time than that. God did give him - not weeks, nor months, but years to live, love and enjoy his family to the fullest - and that he did! He will be greatly missed on this side of heaven.

Gosh people in our lives from many years ago pop up now and then. Remembered from the Waimumu store days when after Church we would get a carton of ice cream to take home to have with our pudding after the Sunday roast!
Condolences to you all at this time especially Nancy, you have been together for a long time.
Kind regards from the Dolamore´s
