(Poppa Jack):
Reg No. 543601 WWII Veteran
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, 14th May 2023, after a short illness, at St Johns Wood Oceania Rest Home, Taupo, aged 107 years, 3 days. Dearly loved husband of the late Thora. Treasured Dad and father-in-law of Peter and Eileen and Valerie (deceased). Adored grandfather (Poppa Jack) and great-grandfather of Trevor and Jo, Alan, Gary and Dianne Coe, Michael and Aaron Sefton. All of Jack's great-grandchildren and very close extended family. Special thanks to the manager and staff at St Johns Wood Rest Home Taupo. In accordance with Jack's wishes, a private family service has been held. A Memorial Service to celebrate Jack's life will be held in Marton on Saturday, 3rd June 2023, at 1.00pm, at Beauchamp Funeral Home, 18 Morris Street, Marton. In lieu of flowers, donations please to St Johns Ambulance Marton. Communications to The Coe Family, c/- PO Box 940, Taupo 3351.

It was a great privilege to have met Jack. He was a very chipper gentleman, and an inspiration to me and my family and friends when Jack and I shared a room at the Whanganui hospital. Jack, you showed me what it is to be fiercely independent. You didn't let being 106yrs of age slow you down. I'm sure flights of Angels lifted you to the heavens.
