How very sad we were to receive a phone call from one of our old friends in Whanganui informing us of Grenville's recent passing.
He and Jocelyn were great friends
of ours in Palmerston North and Whanganui days, with mutual interests. We certainly shared many great times together.
Dear Jocelyn, we are thinking of you and your family at this very sad and difficult time and hope that we will reconnect when next in the North Island or you come and stay with us here in Nelson.
Much love, Anne and Michael Doyle

Growing up uncle Grenville was the biggest light that came in to my little eyes .I've heard light goes on for ever,so in the meantime,I'm treasuring quite a few watts of that special Grenville light and alll over the place the Grenville gloworm warms our hearts

Loved to hear your many stories Grenville. You had a rich knowledge of the things passed. Loved your sense of humor. Your presence at school, in the staffroom and the school camps were a delight.

So much fun and always that mischievous twinkle in his eye! A facilitator of learning who made it so much fun!
Our family has sooo many memories of Grenville as a friend, colleague and teacher.
Our hearts go out to you all as you lose him this final time. Keep the memories of the good times close - they will keep him near as you chuckle about his mischief.
