Gerardus VAN ROOYEN Obituary

Passed away at Julia Wallace Retirement Village on Saturday 1st July 2023. Aged 87 years. Dearly loved husband of Marie for 63 years. Deeply caring father and father-in-law to Susan and Philip Ingram, John (dec.), Sharon and Alan McKee, and Leonie and Peter Smith. Proud Opa to Aimee; Rachel, Louise, Karin and Brendan; Thomas and Harrison; Jordan and Helena; and great grandfather to Angus, Michael and James. Brother, brother-in-law and Uncle to family in Holland, Australia and New Zealand. Heartfelt thanks to Doctors and staff of Haemotology and Cancer Care at Palmerston North Hospital and to all staff at Julia Wallace Retirement Village. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Johns Ambulance online at stjohn.org.nz/support-us/donate/taxappeal/ Requiem Mass for Gerry will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Shamrock Street, Palmerston North, on Friday 7th July 2023, at 1pm. Followed by cremation.
