I have fond memories of my cousin while growing up in Terrace End.
My last contact was meeting George for a coffee and catch up at Mount Maunganui. A time Carolyn and I will always cherish.

George was one of the real characters of Formula Vee both as a driver, engine builder and chassis builder. He was full of life, racing hard and playing hard and he made many great friendships racing. The Formula Vee Association of New Zealand offer our sympathies and condolences to his family and friends.

So sad to hear of your loss, George leaves many with fond memories of amusing times in Ohope and will be greatly missed.

George came to our OLD FARTS meeting on Friday ! He was still telling grubby jokes and enjoying the company with us all ! Still remember racing against him in the red civic and all the fun we all had ! I will remember the day as he died on my 70th birthday the old BUGGER !! R.I.P. Young man !!! Terry ( SKIDDER) Jensen.

The only person i know that could drive a Formula Vee with a jammed throttle and win the race.You have been a great friend and i enjoyed working for you.

We are so sad for your loss of George. Our memories of George are of his amazing sense of humour, his BIG laugh. The fact that he lived on an island and couldn't swim.
