George BAKER Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Palmerston North Hospital on Friday 7 March 2025, aged 78 years, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved and respected Father and Father-in-law of Joe and Karen; Patrick and Natasha; and Olivia and David. Loved Grandad of Tyler, Robert, Caitlin, Hannah, George, Jack, Arabella and Sophie. Loved Oldest brother to all his siblings. Beloved partner of Jill (deceased), Husband of Jenny (deceased) and Husband of Robyn. The family would like to thank Waireka Rest Home and Palmerston North Hospital Staff for the loving care shown to George. Messages can be sent to the Baker family, c/- PO Box 1014, Palmerston North. A service for George will be held at the Tui Brewery Flagon Room, State Highway 2, Pahiatua, on Wednesday 12 March 2025 at 1.00pm, followed by internment at the Mangatainoka Cemetery.

As a teenager, George stayed at my parents house a couple of times a week. He was dad's apprentice, and had early starts next day. He
called in to see mum occasionally, such a lovely person. Thoughts are with his family and friends.
