Sorry this is a belated condolence to the Spencer family. We enjoyed our association with Geoff who lived next to my mother Josie Aitchison in the Masonic Village. He was a marvellous neighbour to her and we appreciated his kindness.

Our sincerest condolences to all of you. Geoff was so good to me when I was growing up. Always a wise word with a sense of humour and always seemed forever young. St John Methodist church days were one of fondest memories. Wonderful friends of my parents: Bill and Jessie Aitken. Geoff ran his race well

Both Geoff and Maureen were longtime friends of my parents, meeting up when Dad started teaching in Levin. I fondly remember a day with Geoff when I was 15/16 and we talked cars and he took me through Len Southwards workshop. A real treat!

We have strong memories of both your mother and father and many happy times shared back in St John days. Your mum playing the organ and conducting the choir and your dad always involved in everything. They were friends of my parents (Keith and Margaret Wyness). It was good catching up with John a few times in Auckland and hearing news of you all who I remember I used to occasionally babysit. Special thoughts to you all.
