Geoffrey NICHOLLS Obituary

So sorry to read about Geoff's passing, albeit belatedly. My family lived in a cottage at Burleigh Farm, Bulls in the mid-50s while Dad (Antoni Glowacki) was working at Ohakea Air Base. Geoff and I often played together. He was a great playmate. He would come over to our place to sample Mum's Polish cooking while I would go over to the big house and always get lovely kiwi food from his Mum, Margaret. I live in Melbourne Australia.

We were saddened to hear of Geoff´s passing. Please accept our sincere condolences; let all the wonderful memories help you through this difficult time.

Where do I start ?? Geoff was probably my first ever friend while living next door on Greatford Rd at Burleigh. Always genuine and never ever condescending to anyone no matter what scale they were judged on. Always good for a discussion on any subject and often I thought it was like Ripleys "Believe it or not". But never an argument over who was right or wrong. Although as our families developed our friendship drifted apart I know that Geoff thought the world of Margaret and his children. I feel your loss. Rest in peace Geoff. A good down to earth bugger and a great friend !!

My condolences to Geoff's family, we spent sometime in JCs in bulls in my early years in Bulls. Will miss the occasional meeting with Geoff, dunno if I will be at the Smoko? regards
