When they say someone went through a lot and fought all the way, that was Garry. A proud man who thought the world of his family and they of him. You did it all my friend, (One Republic - I lived) you will be missed by many, including me. Thanks for all the talks, the jokes, and the mischief x

I only have happy memories of my time shared with Garry. His laughter filled a room and a joyful heart.
There is a great legacy in Garry in terms of all those firefighters who got to spend time working with him, a great man has been lost but a great legacy remains in family and friends.
