Frederick John:
Of Palmerston North. Fred passed away peacefully on August 19, 2016, after a brief illness at Palmerston North Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, aged 84 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Joan for 55 years; loved Dad and father-in-law of Denise & Guy Brandon, Jan & Andy McLachlan and Murray & Rachel Greenfield; dearly loved grandad of Tara, Seana, Josh, Natalie and Daniel, Aaron, Tim and Brooke, Tabitha, Jared and partners; dearly loved great-grandad/fluffy, of five precious great-grandchildren. Messages to the Greenfield family c/- 167 John F Kennedy Drive, Palmerston North. Fred will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. A farewell to celebrate Fred's long happy life will be held at the Beauchamp Crematorium Chapel, 167 John F Kennedy Drive, Palmerston North, on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 2pm.

To our special Brother Inlaw and Uncle. You were an amazing man, a very wise person we could all go to and a huge father figure to not only your 3 children but many more of us that looked up to you as a "Dad" We have so many precious memories that we will hold close to our hearts. We will always look after and take care of Joan for you. You deserve no more pain, I bet you are having a ball up there catching up with all your loved ones. Give Nana and Grandad Payne a big hug from us all. Love you Uncle Fred. Fly free and look down with pride cause you have a wonderful family down here looking after your precious wife. Love you always
