Evert van LAAR Obituary

Born in the Netherlands on 3rd October 1923, passed away on the 30th September 2023 at Riverstone Care Home, Palmerston North, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of the late Patricia for 60 years, and dearly loved father and father-in-law of Diana (Gwenfil), Johanna and Richard, Elizabeth and Alastair and cherished Opa and Great-Opa of Simone and Ash, Benjamin & Timothy; Gareth and Jay, Rose; David and Lizzie; Hayley and Dillon; Alexander; Cameron and Olivia; Matthew; and Jade. Many thanks to the wonderful care and attention from the staff at Riverstone Bupa Care Home. A thanksgiving service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday 4th October at 11.00am at the Reformed Church of Palmerston North, 541 Ruahine Street, Palmerston North.

Our prayers and thoughts go out to you all. Many great memories, especially in Christian fellowship and service. John & Pat taught me so much, and we thank the Lord for that. But especially we are thankful that he is now truly at peace with his Saviour and Lord, together with all the other departed saints, including Mum.
