Evelyn May (née Vautier):
Died peacefully on 27 July 2018 at Mt Herbert House, Waipukurau, aged 99. Much loved wife of the late Gordon. Loved mother and mother-in-law to Kevin Hunt (Waipukurau), Ian Hunt and Sheila Lightlie (Canada), Jude Hunt (Wellington), Gill and Rod Thompson (Feilding), Graham and Fiona Hunt (Waipukurau). Much loved and adored Nana and Great-Nana of Kylie and David Morrison, Madeleine and Briana, Hamish and Katrina Thompson, Shayla, Ella, Genea, Jamie and Joshua, Scott and Julayne Thompson, Charlotte and Lachlan, Bridget and James Thompson, Hunter and Carter, Matthew and Stephanie Hunt, Kimberley Hunt and Sean Kelly, Deanna and Jason Belesky, Keelia, Elza-Lily and Jeremia. A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held at Saint Mary's Church Hall, Saint Mary's Road, Waipukurau, on Friday 3rd August 2018 at 11.00am, followed by private cremation. Donations to the St Mary's Church Restoration Fund would be appreciated and these and any messages may be left at the service or posted c/- PO Box 200, Waipukurau 4242.

A Big thank you to everyone who has commented on this page. Yes Mum was a great Family person and always made friends wherever she was. Her telephone was her lifeline and even though I did not live near I spent many Happy times with both Mum and Dad over the years taking them to birthday celebrations, funerals, concerts, theatre etc. We were blessed to have Mum and Dad for a long time. I tried to keep mum and dad in there own house for as long as I could. Even got Dad a mobility scooter to go to church. Will miss you Mum dearly but it was your time to go. I was privileged to be their at the very end and will never forget many special moments when we knew your body was shutting down. God speed and give Dad a big kiss and cuddle from me.
