Of Palmerston North. On Saturday 1st January 2022 peacefully at Radius Peppertree. Aged 92. Dearly loved husband of the late Ngaire. Much loved Dad of Bruce and Susan (Wellington), Keith and Jan (Foxton Beach), Ian and Tisha (Wellington), Helen (deceased) and Alan Temperley (Palmerston North). Loved Poppa of Kate and David; Paul and Toby; Jason and Hayden, and loved great-Poppa of Brandon, George and Thomas. Loved brother of Eddie Taylor (deceased).

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to SIM NZ (Serving In Mission). Messages for the Klein family, c/- PO Box 5191, Palmerston North 4441. A service to celebrate Eric's life will be held in the Central Baptist Church, 190 Church Street, Palmerston North, on Saturday 8th January 2022, at 1.00pm. A vaccine pass is required to attend. Sorry to hear the Passing of Eric.
Your Father was a Great Mentor in my Christian Walk from when I first met Eric at Central Baptist Palmerston North when I am my Family to Palmerston North in 1977 and over the many year when I visit CBC I would catch up with Eric and have long chats.
I know that he is with His Lord and catching up with my Dad.

My father, Graham Petterson, now 98 and living in Waikanae, remembers Eric well, from the 1960s when they worked together with the Hokowhitu Baptist Young People. I remember him well too from being a young member of that group, and from him being one of the first people on our street to own a TV. I used to run up to his place a couple of evenings a week to watch Get Smart and Mission Impossible. He was a good man!
