Eric died after a long illness bravely fought. He was the dearly loved and loving husband of Pamela (nee Dahl), loved and respected father and father-in-law of Bruce & Michelle, Alastair, and Kerry & Michelle, loved "Grumpy Grandad" of Jamie & Paige, Jessica & Nick, and Natalie, loved only son of Phyllis & Douglas (both dec), and loved brother of Jacqueline Gillam and Marjorie Anderson (dec). He requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Arohanui Hospice, PO Box 5349, Palmerston North 4441, or www.arohanuihospice.org.nz/helping-us/make-a-donation/. Eric's death leaves a gaping hole in our lives, but he is now free from pain and discomfort.
Eric is at home if you would like to spend time with him. A service for Eric will be held at the Terracehaven Chapel, 697 Main Street, Palmerston North, on Saturday 25th March 2023, at 11.00am. My deepest condolences Pamela, and family. I have very happy memories of indoor bowling with you both at the annual North Island Police Championships. Eric and you were great company on our weekends away. Eric was also a valued Police colleague.
