Elizabeth VÉKONY Obituary

Died peacefully on 14th December 2025 with her family by her side; aged 85. Much loved wife to the late Frank; adored Mum to Joseph (dec), Martin, Rozália, Annie, and Stephanie; loved mother-in-law to John and Ben; Loved Granny Claire (GC) to Caroline, Daniel, Harmony, Isabella, Kian, Rogan, Ariana, and Charlie. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr Gisela Kristono, and to all staff who cared for Mum when she was at Hutt Hospital. Also, to Erena, Te Omanga Hospice; Quennie, Eunice, Julius and Mark, Bupa care home; Diane and Kathrin, Bupa Village. You were all an enormous support to us. Aroha and thanks from Claire's family. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Claire's life will be held at Ss Peter & Paul's Catholic Church, 60 Knights Road, Lower Hutt, on Tuesday, 23rd December 2025 at 11.00am. Feel free to wear something pink, Claire's favourite colour. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance are welcomed.
