Elaine (formerly Burns):
Passed away peacefully with family on Thursday 3 February 2022, after a short illness. Aged 85 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Greg Burns, and the late Bill Potbury. Much loved mother of Sally, Mark, David, Paul, and Nicola; step-mother to William, Kevin, Jeannie, and Nick. Inspirational Grandma to her 21 grandchildren. Loving sister to Mavis (dec), and Sheena. A service to celebrate Elaine's life will be held in the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, 197 Broadway Avenue, Palmerston North, on Wednesday 9 February 2022, at 1.30pm. 'My Vaccine Pass' will be scanned at the door, and numbers will be limited to 100 due to current restrictions. Elaine's service will also be streamed live via www.beauchamp.co.nz/webcasting/remote

So sorry to hear of Elaine's passing. I am so glad that I got to make contact with her again, a few years ago. I will always remember her as my "work" mum, back when I was at Bruce Andrews Lawyers. Of course, even after all these years, I still think of her every time I see anything to do with owls !!! She was such a lovely person and will be missed.

I have nothing but fond memories and admiration for Elaine, knowing and working with her since 1991. She was a very wise and gracious lady!
It was always a pleasure to see her and she will be missed by all.

Bless you all at this time. Elaine loved you each of you,she was interested in our lives. She bravely fought the challegenes before her with positively. Elaine was an inspiration to me ,she was community minded ,focused on other people and always enjoying learning .
