Elaine JOHNSTONE Obituary

Peacefully in the presence of family after a short illness at the Arohanui Hospice, on Tuesday 20 January 2026, aged 85 years. Much loved mother of Karen, Maxine, and Peter. Mother-in-law of Craig, and Rebekah, and loved Gran of Kaleb, Coby, Taj, and Milla. Many thanks to all the wonderful staff at the Arohanui Hospice for their excellent care. According to Elaine's wishes, a private cremation has taken place. Messages to the Johnstone family, c/o 29 Beattie Street, Feilding 4702.

Hello Johnstone family. I have just heard the news that Elaine passed away. It was a huge shock to me as she had been looking good and been in good spirits every time I saw her. She spoke well of her family and enjoyed talking about you all. She was going to be my first client in June for telling her life story and I am sad that this won't now happen. However, she did share wonderful stories, she always lit up a room with her smile and I always loved her presence. She will never be forgotten by me.
