Douglas JONES Obituary

Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Friday 4th April 2025, aged 82 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Dell. Much loved father of Emma and Lou-Ellen. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Kenneth and Berylann, Gordon and Moira. Treasured grandfather of Tessa-Ray and Renee, great-grandfather of Korra Rose. Loved uncle to Bryce, Grant (deceased), Phillipa and Hayley. We would like to express our gratitude to the wonderful angels at Respiratory Services, Arohanui Hospice, District Nursing and Lavender Blue. As per Douglas's wishes, no service will be held. Messages to the Jones family, 16a East Street, Feilding 4702.

Sorry to hear of Doug's passing. We enjoyed Doug's company at work and socially and have many happy memories of those times. Our thoughts are with the family.

To Dell and Family
Sorry to hear of Doug's passing.l have great memories of Doug playing golf with him weekly at Rangitikei Golf on a wednesday.5 Course Classic at Tauranga and Fri.Sun.morning at Feilding in the end had to line him up as his sight was failing still managed to nail the putt.

To Dell and whanau. Brett and I were deeply saddened to hear the news of Doug's passing, as it was only the other day, we were thinking of him and Dell. I will always cherish the memories I have of Doug as my boss and also as a friend outside of work. Thinking of you all during this difficult time and sending lots of aroha and big hugs your way.

To Dell and family, sorry to hear of Doug's passing. It has brought back so many memories of our time together at Palmerston North Hospital, and they are good memories. Doug was one of the truly best to work for. Are thoughts are with you all at this sad moment in time.
