Derek UNDERWOOD Obituary

Passed away peacefully on Saturday 19 April 2025, aged 90 years. Dearly loved husband of Kathleen for 55 special years. Much loved Dad of David and Toni, Richard (deceased), Geoff and Alex, Brian and Kate. Loved Grandad of Eleanor, Mackenzie, and Lewis; James, and Hannah; Sienna, and Blake. Cherished brother and brother-in-law of Patricia and the late Clive.

Messages for Derek's family may be left via robertjcotton.co.nz/funerals-tributes. A service for Derek will be held in the All Saints Community Centre, 338 Church Street, Palmerston North, on Wednesday 30 April 2025, at 1.30pm, followed by private cremation.

Hi Kathleen. It was with deepest of sadness to read of Derek's passing. My sincere condolences to you & your family. Maybe my Dad & Derek will find each other up there somewhere & be able to enjoy sharing happy memories of life on that farm.

Our heart felt thoughts are with you Kathleen and family. I was at the Herd Improvement when Derek was there as a herd tester. So have known him for a while. RIP Derek.
