Emily and Family, our condolences to you all on David's passing. Although I haven't seen much of David in later years, I have always held a very soft spot for my cousin. While we were growing up we spent some school holidays together at either Cook St or out on our farm, and had some great times. We were disappointed to miss his funeral, but our best wishes are with you all.

On the way to Otahome is a long stand of poplars lining each side of the road. Dave once told me how he loved to look in the rear vision mirror every autumn, to see the whorls and patterns that the poplar´s fallen leaves made as he drove through them. Every time since, when Russ and I pass those trees we always say "Crockett´s trees!".

We´re sorry to hear David has passed away. We have lots of memories and thoughts about David. Growing up with a big family of 35 cousins, our parents made sure we knew every one of them. It has been our privilege to know David.
