Matilde SUPPA Obituary

SUPPA, Matilde (nee Romeo) - With great sadness we announce the passing of Matilde on August 19, 2013 at the age of 78. She leaves behind Bruno, her beloved husband of 53 years. Cherished mother to Elisa (Kostas Marmaras), Adriana, and Stefania (Federico Marmugi). Proud Nonna to Georgios, Matteo and Mia. Matilde will be deeply missed by her surviving siblings Luciano (Liliana), Salvatore (Maria), Sr. Maria Pia, Sr. Serafina and Evelina. Visitation will be held at the Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave.) on Friday from 6-10 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave., at Dufferin St.) on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 9 a.m. Private entombment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Matilde can be made to the St. Michael's Hospital Foundation.

Dearest Bruno & the Suppa Family:
Our sincere condolences & deepest sympathy on the loss of Matilde. She will be sorely missed, not only by her own family, but also by those many people whose lives she touched during her long, fruitful & meaningful life. In the words of St. Paul, Matilde has run the course, finished the race, & reaped her reward. Requiescat in Pace! Though our paths have not crossed in recent years, our memory of your dear Matilde, will always be that of kindness, caring & of a very "Gentle Woman!"
