Condolences to Colin´s family and friends. I was Colin´s hairdresser at a few salons around town until I gave up. What an extraordinary man he was. The most kind caring compassionate human I´ve met he will be deeply missed. I remember him telling me of his nieces and nephews and he spoke of them with great love. I always looked forward to his movie reviews. He had an infectious laugh. If he had to wait an hour on the couch for me he´d tell me it´s ok don´t rush. If we were all a bit more like Colin the world would be a better place.

Truly saddened to hear of the passing of Colin. Really will miss you sense of humour, your caring nature, and the ability to remember not just people's names but who they were-their life's struggles and tribulations no matter how long ago he connected with them. Now it's our turn to return the favour and remember him and we surely will as testament of how great a man he was. My deepest sympathies to all his family and many friends.

Colin was a quiet and thoughtful presence both at work and in everyday life. I often ran into him at the gym, where his love for yoga reflected the calm and balance he carried with him. He didn´t need to be loud to make an impression - his steady nature and gentle conversations were enough.

Those brief moments we shared - a nod, a short chat, crossing paths between work and workouts - are ones I´ll truly cherish.

He will be deeply missed.

My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. I hope you find comfort in knowing how much he was respected and appreciated by those who knew him.

It is with great sadness that the IT family at Massey University acknowledges the passing of Colin Leong who served the university with dedication, integrity, and quiet commitment for 27 years.

Colin joined Massey University on 3 November 1997 where he held key support roles including ITS Support Analyst, Video Conference Facilitator, and Information Commons IT Assistant. Throughout his time with us he was a steadfast and generous contributor to IT support services, always willing to help and deeply committed to supporting others in their work.

Colin was widely respected for his professionalism, reliability, and strong work ethic. Kind, quiet, and considerate, he was someone people trusted-not only for his technical expertise, but for the genuine care and patience he showed to staff and students alike. His calm presence and consistent service made a lasting impact across the University community.

We honor Colin for a life well lived and remember him for his generosity of spirit, his commitment to others, and the many lives he quietly but meaningfully touched. We extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Sincere condolences.
The Leong family were very kind to our family growing up. They supported my mother Rosa by providing work in their shop, and also generous by donating fruit and vegetables.

Colin was the kindest, most gentle person I've ever met. At Massey, he always put himself out to help anyone - often at a moment's notice. He was a quiet, calm presence with a real wealth of knowledge - he always made me feel that all IT problems could be solved and that I could trust him to solve them! I am so saddened by his passing and send my condolences to his family and friends - please know how much he was valued by his colleagues from all over campus

Such a shock that Colin has died. Many years since I was at Massey, but I well remember the help he gave so kindly and patiently to a computer illiterate academic. A real loss for the institution.

So very sad to see Colin has passed. Was only saying a couple of weeks ago when we were looking at school photos, what a lovely and funny friend he was. His parents were good friends with my mum and I remember visiting them when they moved to Palmy. My deepest condolences to his family.

So sad to learn of Colin's untimely passing and our condolences to the family. We do have memories of happier times in Woodville when our mum Rosa worked for Sonny and Ming. I was grateltful when Sonny allowed me to use his truck to shift furniture when Mary and I were newly married.

Dear Colin
It is a while since I have seen you, but you haven't been forgotten. You were such a gentle man and one of those 'techies' that you could ask anything of, and not made to feel inadequate. Thank you for your technological help at Massey University Library and your friendship. I am sorry I can't be with you on this sad occasion but you are not forgotten.
