Lewis Gordon Reid, Jr.
June 3, 1947 - November 22, 2025
Charlotte, North Carolina - Lewis G. Reid, Jr., 78, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on November 22, 2025. Born on June 3, 1947, and raised in Charlotte, Lewis was the only child of the late Helen and Lewis Reid. He graduated from East Mecklenburg High School and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1969, where he was a member of the SAE fraternity.
Lewis was instrumental in the growth of Fun-Tees, Inc., where he served as President and CEO until his retirement in 2007. In retirement, he enjoyed playing golf at Myers Park Country Club and spending time with his beloved family and many friends.
Lewis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Claudia; his daughters Jennifer Michaud (Gilles), Blair Mathis (Jeff), and Ashley Martin (John); and his cherished grandchildren Reid, Oliver, Ben, and Claudia Michaud; Grace and Buck Mathis; and Miles, and Wrenny Martin.
A memorial reception will be held at 3 p.m. on December 5, 2025, at Myers Park Country Club. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Humane Society of Charlotte.
