Christopher O'SULLIVAN Obituary

Born in Ireland 26.12.1931, ordained Catholic priest in Ireland 16.6.1957. Died in Palmerston North Hospital on Saturday 24th January 2026. Aged 94 years. Much loved priest in the Diocese of Palmerston North for 46 years and previously the Archdiocese of Wellington for 23 years. Very much missed by his remaining family in Ireland, friends and parishioners in New Zealand. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, 197 Broadway Avenue, Palmerston North, on Friday 30th January 2026, at 12noon, followed by burial at Kelvin Grove Cemetery, Palmerston North.

Sorry to hear the loss of Father Joe, I cared for him while I was working at his final place of residence. Can still hear his laughter and jokes when I think of him, May his soul rest in peace. Love to the friends and family
