Peacefully on Monday, 24 October 2016. Aged 79 years. Favourite arguing partner of Pam. Much loved father and father-in-law of Andrew and Ali, and Kath and Stew. Dearly loved Grandad of Natalie, Marcus, Izzy and Tom. Messages may be sent to the Slack family c/- 167 John F Kennedy Drive, Palmerston North 4414. In accordance with Roger's wishes a private service has been held.

The members of the Manawatu Estuary Trust acknowledge with sympathy to his family the passing of Roger Slack. He was committed to the Manawatu Estuary, taking a full personal role to reserve the area as sanctuary for our indigenous and migratory birds.
His knowledge status and friendly personality will be sadly missed by all.
