Passed away peacefully at Palmerston North Hospital, on Wednesday, 21 January, 2026, aged 82 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Lorraine. Much loved father & father-in-law of Pauline & Dean, Andrew & Naomi. Cherished Grandad of Jackson, Mya, Cody, Peyton & Kaylee. Sincere thanks to the wonderful staff of Ward 24 at Palmerston North Hospital. A Memorial Service for Bruce will be held at the Royal New Zealand Naval Association, 20 Domain Street, Palmerton North, on Thursday, 29 January at 1.30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Arohanui Hospice via arohanuihospice.or.nz/donate are appreciated in memory of Bruce.

Pauline and Andrew- Sorry to hear of your fathers passing.
Came across Bruce when doing Meal on Wheels he seemed happy,
Neighbour for many years when living in Ashhurst.

To Bruce´s family
I met your lovely Dad in the hospital. He talked about his life and really hoped he would get a hospital transfer to be closer to his family in Wainuiomata.
What a character your Dad was, a delightful man who had an interesting life.
Hold on to your beautiful memories and know that he loved you all. Bruce told me that he was going to meet "my boss"soon so he was very pragmatic and accepting of death - it was the pain that was a challenge.
Much aroha to you all. Moe mai ra Bruce, rest in peace
