Brian JOHNSTON Obituary

My name is Emma... I met Brian some years back when he did some work at my family home in Silverstream.
At that time I had four young children.
He became a dear friend and like an uncle to my children.
They remember him well.
Brian and I would chat for hours... I loved his stories.
Each year I´d make a Xmas card of my children for him... he had these in his lounge.
One day he turned up at my place in his yellow van... filled with balloons... it was a big hit with my children.
We lost touch ... but we often talk about him.
I was very sorry to hear yesterday via John V... that he had passed...and was sorry that we did not reconnect.
I know he loved his children very much... and adored his grandchildren.
I met Melinda... and her two lovely children.
Thank you Brian for our special moments.

My sincere condolences to Melinda and the family. Since knowing Brian at Bob Scott, he was a real gentleman. A man with a big smile, firm handshake. I will miss seeing you. Rest in peace my friend. We will meet again.
