Brian BENDALL Obituary

Of Pahiatua, on Wednesday 31 December, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family, aged 79 years. Dearly loved husband of Jan for 57 years. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Philippa and Willie Purvis, Geoff and Catherine, and Stephanie Aspinall. Much loved Pa of Caron, and Kayla; Tori, and Emma; and Rawiri, Ariana, Tiari, Manaia, Jahzaiah, and Jay-Dean. Dearly loved brother of Graham and Alison (both deceased), Diana Carthew and Bill (deceased), and Pauline and Peter Russell. Dearly loved brother-in-law of Gordon and Linda Andrew, Val McBeath and Pauline and Don Collyer, and loved uncle to his nieces and nephews. Donations in lieu of flowers made to Arohanui Hospice, PO Box 5349, Palmerston North, would be appreciated. Messages to Mrs J Bendall, C/- PO Box 23, Pahiatua. A service to celebrate Chris's life will be held at St Peter's Anglican Church, Albert Street, Pahiatua, on Monday 5 January, 2026, at 10.30am.

A harder working man would be hard to find.
Man who had obedient animals, especially his dogs - incredible ability to manage move my cows.
Amasing philosophy on life as a great farmer.
His work ethic was tough on others not so motivated but some of the best stock man I know owe him for his influence.
Thank you Chris for your advice and inspiration.
